The Laundry Schedule

My son, Kasey, wanted to hide their electrical box that was in their laundry room, so he made this sign to go over top of the box.  Then we added the schedule with vinyl and the Cricut.

Faith is the Key

This was made for a family who lost their mother.  The key has the word "memory" imprinted on it.

What is your Superpower?

This is a tumbler that I made based on another Pinterest idea.  One side says "I Teach.  What is your Superpower?" and the other has the apple and my name underneath.

BE THE GOOD

I made this for my daughter-in-law!  She had pinned it on Pinterest, and I thought maybe I would make it.  Hopefully she will like it for her birthday!

In This Classroom

I had seen this idea on Pinterest.  It was in poster form.  I decided to add the idea to my desk at school.  I used a variety of fonts and colors for the sayings.

Bird Feeder (Old Tire)

We bought an old tire and cut it up for the major portion of this bird feeder.  Todd stapled a screen to the bottom to hold the seeds.  This was inspired by our trip to Galena, Ill.  They have the most awesome shops in that town!

Wine Bottle with etching

This was a wine bottle and vase I got from the Dollar Store,  that I put rubber bands around and sprayed with frosted spray paint.  This was used for a bridal shower.  The piece of paper was a prescription pad with the prescription for happiness on it.  I added vinyl, cut with the Cricut, to the wine bottle.

Coasters from terracotta pots

These are coasters I made from terracotta saucers.  I sprayed painted the pots first and then used mod podge to adhere the scrapbook paper to the middle.  Then I added a vinyl "H" and covered with multiple layers of mod podge.

Old Mirror

This was an old mirror I found at a garage sale and bought for $5.00.  It was a gold color and a sprayed it a dark forest green.  Then I added the saying with vinyl.

Pergola

My husband and I built the pergola after checking them out on Pinterest.  Our wisteria is finally growing up the poles!  We also made the fountain that's in the pond.  It's made out of two pots glued together and a pump that goes up the middle of the two pots.

Pillow and Side Table

This is out on our back patio.  I made the pillow out of old canvas from an old pergola and then used stencils to make the words.  I also bought the old side table and added the saying to the top with the Cricut.  I also painted the side table with spray paint.

If it's broke...Call Dad

Todd got into the act with his distressed sign that he posted on the garage.  This does seem to be a mantra at our house.

Dresser

I covered an old dresser with scrapbook paper.  Then I covered it with three coats of mod podge.  Now I need the inside pieces and baskets added to complete the look.

Wine Corks Key Chains

I have been wondering what to do with old wine corks.  There are so many ideas out there.  So I came up with key chains.  I used 1 and 3/16 inch eyelets to screw into each cork.  There are also two washers of different sizes at both ends.  Then I added the book rings to the top for the keys and just used extra beads I had laying around for some added bling.

Candy Jar

Another classic steal from Pinterest.  After breaking one of the glass bowls because we tried to bring it home from Sioux City on the motorcycle, we finally found another one that would work.  This is actually a terracotta flower pot turned upside down and the saucer on the top for the lid.  I painted with chalkboard paint and hot glued all of the pieces together. Should work for school.

Truffula Trees

On World Read Aloud Day, our class celebrated with the reading of the Lorax.  After the reading we enjoyed Truffula Trees.  They were made out of marshmallows dipped in white chocolate and then dipped in sprinkles.  They were on skewers that were stuck into a cardboard box lid.  I cut the words with the Circut.

Bracelet and Wedding Present

The top picture was a bracelet made out of safety pins.  I just used stretchy cord and a round bead in between each of the safety pins.

The bottom picture was a tree that had the lyrics of my son's first dance with his new wife printed on it.  The names were added with vinyl cut with a Cricut.

Bench for back patio

This bench was made with a part from an old hot tub that we tore up and an old coffee table.  We had the posts leftover from the pergola that we just made and so we used those for the posts.  I wanted to brighten up the back patio, so my daughter and I chose bright colors.  Then we used the Cricut to make stencils to make the pillows for the top.

Antique Tray

The bottom picture is an antique tray I got free at a garage sale.  It was actually pretty gross with the dead insects on the inside, but I took the back off and interchanged it with scrapbook paper.  I also painted the outside with hammered brown spray paint.  I figure I can change out the scrapbook paper to celebrate the various holidays.

Bless this Home Window

This is a sign outside our back door.  It says, "Bless This Home and all who enter".  I found the tree on a google search and changed it into an svg file to be able to cut it on the Cricut.  This is all done with vinyl...Oracal. The bottom one was done for my son and his wife's home.

Barn Door for the Garage

This is one of my creations this summer.  I found a couple of old barn doors at a consignment shop, and after checking out Pinterest for some ideas, I came up with this.  The letters are made with scrapbook paper and mod podged onto the board.  I covered the whole thing with about three layers of mod podge.  Hopefully it will hold up being outside!
